Scotch-Brite™ Surface Conditioning Disc Pack 915S
Clean, Finish, Blend and Deburr
Each disc in the Scotch-Brite™ Surface Conditioning Disc Pack 915S is color-coded by grade to help operators reduce the risk for error during a multi-step sequence. The pack contains one disc of each grade of our SC family: S SFN (Gray), A VFN (Blue), A MED (Maroon) and A CRS (Brown). Why choose silicon carbide or aluminum oxide mineral?

Aluminum oxide is a popular choice among industrial professionals because of its fast cut-rate and long life. It cuts aggressively without significantly altering part geometry, which is great for applications like finishing and paint prep — when you want to maintain the part's original shape. Silicon carbide is another synthetic mineral that is very sharp and commonly used for low-pressure applications, such as sanding and finishing during paint prep. While it breaks down faster than aluminum oxide, this mineral produces a brighter finish.

Benefits of Open Web Abrasives
Non-woven technology makes Scotch-Brite™ abrasives unique. Abrasive mineral is interspersed on synthetic fibers using resin — creating an open web construction. Spaces between the fibers permit excess dust and debris to escape, so the mineral does not get clogged or worn down by debris. It keeps the mineral cutting sharper longer, enhancing cut performance and increasing abrasive service life. The spring-like nature of the fibers works well on contours and responds to surface subtleties. Open web abrasives' responsive design effectively removes unwanted burrs, soils and contaminants without ruining the base material, so you get a consistent and uniform finish — part after part.

Test Different Minerals and Grades
Scotch-Brite™ Surface Conditioning Disc Packs are a good option for operators who want to sample a variety of discs. With this versatile pack, operators get the opportunity to test how different discs work with different surfaces. As industrial professionals know well, each application is nuanced, and factors like machinery or equipment, base material and part specifications all influence which abrasive should be used. That's why Scotch-Brite™ Surface Conditioning Disc Packs were created — to help you find the right disc for you.
