Easy-on / easy-off attachment systems help enhance productivity
Accommodates each of the three Standard Abrasives™ attachment types: TS, TR, TP
Holder pads have built-in mandrel for ease of use or can attach to mandrels of varying lengths to help users access different areas of the workpiece
Available in a range of densities, so the pad can be tailored to meet unique project needs
Attachment Types: TS, TR, TP Disc pads or holder pads serve as conduits between abrasive discs and tools; they're valuable connectors that make for easier and speedier industrial processes. Standard Abrasives™ Quick Change Holder Pads come with one of three quick change attachment styles. Attachment styles include TS, TR and TP. TS is standard metal-to-metal attachment, TR is a 3M™ Roloc™ style nylon threaded male hub, and TP is a snap-on/snap-off nylon fastening hub. The mechanical attachments on the discs and pads enable easy swap out of discs with a speedy quarter turn.
Conveniently mounts directly to tools with threaded shafts or used with Quick Change shank to fit collet chuck tools
Choosing a Mandrel Standard Abrasives™ Quick Change Holder Pads are available with or without built-in mandrels. Some TS and TR holder pads come with an attached 1/4" diameter TA4 mandrel. Others come with an attached TA6 mandrel with a 6 mm diameter. TP disc holders come with TA4 mandrel attachments only. Disc holders are also available without mandrel attachments, so users can select a mandrel of a different length if it is better suited to their project needs. Holders without an attached mandrel have a 1/4-20 female thread that will pair with a 1/4-20 mandrel. Once the mandrel is attached, users can fasten the disc pad to a rotary tool or die grinder.
Smooth Running All holder pads are hard-face pads. In other words, they are flat and even without texture. The smooth face of the holder pad prevents it from causing bumps or extrusions to surface on the abrasive disc.
Different densities signal varying levels of flexibility of the holder pad. Soft density holder pads are more pliable and responsive, so they're a good fit for finer grade abrasives performing finishing and contouring. Medium grade is good for discs that do general purpose work. Firm density holder pads are more rigid to support coarser abrasives that perform heavy stock removal. Discs and holder pads work together to get the job done.
Altogether, Standard Abrasives™ Holder Pads allow for quick and easy disc attachment and removal, enhancing productivity and adding an extra level of efficiency and ease to your industrial applications.
